It doesn't mean anything. I just took my shoes off while I was talking to my wife on the phone who is off vacationing with the kids and her family on the outer banks. I looked over from the kitchen and liked the composition of the shoes.
I have had a rotary phone for most of my life. I like to dial the phone. It's relaxing listening to the dial ratchet its way back into place. It used to be that I could just pick one up at Goodwill for five bucks. Now they never show up in thrift stores. You have to pay through the nose to get a good one on eBay. My sister gave me that orange one for Christmas. I also have to use a pulse to tone converter these days to dial out, but it draws its current from the phone line, so nothing has to be plugged in to an electrical outlet. If the power and the cell network go out, I can still make calls, but there won't be anyone else with a landline to call.
Holy cow is that a working rotary land line phone? Does it connect straight to Moscow in case we need to stand down from the nuclear brink?
